Part II : WorldDipCon : the last news!
Part III : The next tournaments are...
Part IV : The last results in Europe
Part V : Last news about circuit in 2009
Part VI : Results of circuit in 2008
In this week 39, you can find a summary one what happened in tournament between July 2008 and June 2009.
In the next this week (41), you will find a report about the EuroDipCon (including the hobby meeting) and many statics about 2008.
The EuroDipCon 2009 will take place in Bonn from July 31 to August 2nd.
As usual, the German hobby will organise one of the most enjoyable event of the year, so don't miss it and register as soon as possible.
From André Ilievics :
We will play four rounds at a house called "Haus Annaberg" near Bonn, which is cosy and friendly place.
You can see some pictures of it at http://www.annaberg.de/bilder.htm.
It's definitely a great place to create a friendly and good atmosphere.
We offer packages starting from 66 € (6-bed-dorm) up to 109€ (single room) including tournament fees, free internet access, dinner on Friday evening, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning.
The convention begins Friday, 31/07/2009 and ends Sunday, 02/08/2009.
The first round starts Friday at about 4 p.m. and the last rounds is sunday morning at about 10 a.m. You can check in Friady starting from about noon.
Sunday's round will have a top board, and it will be possible to get through it even if you miss Friday's round.
We will have plenty of time for other games, hanging around or for visiting Bonn or Cologne. And I'm sure the will be some guys going out for night life as well. ;-)
The best place to fly to is Cologne/Bonn airport.
But it might also possible for a limited number of people to give you a lift from Frankfurt to the venue.
If you prefer to fly to Hahn, the low cost airlines airport, there is a bus shuttle to cologne and from the you will have a connections to Annaberg, but this will be very time consuming.
If you have an questions write us an email at edc@diplomacy-bund.de; we will be lucky to help you.

14 players (1 Russian, 3 French, 10 Swedish) were there for the cruise between Stockholm and Tallinn.
4 Swedish champions : Emmanuel du Pontavice (2008), Gwen Maggi (2007), Simon Fagerstedt (2005), Jens Persson (1997).
During the trip between Stockholm and Tallinn, we've played the first round. Niclas Perez and Gwen Maggi topped their board.
We had a great buffet the evening and we wasn't able to eat everything, so sad! And finnaly, we spent the night in the disco!
Arrived to Tallinn, we visited the city. During the trip between Tallinn and Stockholm, we've played the second round. Niclas Perez and Jens Persson topped their board.
The winner of the tournament is, without any surprise, Niclas Perez! Well done Niclas!
The last night in the boat was really great. Thank you to Dennis for this great tournament and cruise (even if the Swedish likes to lie and to kill me :) ).

The Moscow Tournament will be the first Russian step of the Grand Prix. Welcome to the Russian in the Grand Prix.
Here it is what we have right now:
- dates: 15-16 August 3 games (still to decide if the 2 games on saturday will be palyed morning - evening or evening - night ).
- place. everything is arranged, I have only to place the map on the site and write a little how to reach.
- the hotel is still on hold. It has to be cheap and near the venue: not an easy task. It'll be possible perhaps to stay at some russian players house.
- the invitation. we'll have in a day or two have the contacts for the agency, which can provvide the invitation (it'll cost 900 rubles something about 20-25 Eur), which is needed in order to get a visa.
I think it's all for now.
